The real reason I did this
So you still show up on the days you don't feel like it

Welcome to lesson 3. You have the plan and your numbers. Today is what keeps you doing it when it gets hard.
What you're getting today
- Why motivation runs out by week three
- How to write a goal you can actually see
- The three steps that make losing the belly inevitable
Why it matters
The old way: wait until you feel motivated. Start Monday. Motivation shows up maybe twice a week, then it leaves. And Monday is where plans go to die.
How this helps you
A real reason gets you to the gym tired, and back on plan after a bad week. That's the difference between the man who quits in week three and the man still going in month six.
Part 1: my reason
Not the mirror. Not abs. I didn't want my kids to see me as the old guy anymore.
At 20, I was skinny fat. No muscle. At 50, I look better than I ever have, and my kids see a strong dad now. That reason got me to the gym on days I didn't feel like going. Abs never would have.
Part 2: a goal you can see
"Lose some weight" is a wish, not a goal. Napoleon Hill called it a definite chief aim: one goal, written down, read out loud every morning and every night. Write yours in one line:
By [date], I [number: waist, weight], so [your reason].
Put it where you'll see it every morning. Phone lock screen, bathroom mirror, car.
Part 3: three steps
- Set a goal.
- Execute the plan to the T. Not mostly. Not when it's convenient.
- Be consistent. Every week. Never miss twice.
Do that, and losing the belly isn't just possible. It's inevitable. Nobody's coming to do it for you. Not a pill. Not your doctor. Not "next Monday." You.
Next: tomorrow, why you should never pay for another workout program built for 25-year-olds.
If you're serious about losing the belly, you're going to like the whole plan behind this course: the Fitness Control Starter Bundle. The Your Fat Loss Plan ebook, the Fitness Control App, and the private community with its 6 courses. There's a student price for people taking this course, and I'll tell you about it properly after lesson 5.
If you're not there yet, fine. The next lesson will still help you.
